Authorities have warned paedophiles in Australia are becoming increasingly depraved after discovering some shocking instances of infants being sexually tortured.
On Tuesday, the Australian Federal Police announced they had finalised a three-year covert operation which led to the arrests of 121 men nationwide.
A total of 51 children were also rescued, with the international paedophile ring shut down following a tip from New Zealand authorities.
In Queensland alone, 58 men were charged with 423 offences and 23 children were rescued from potential harm.
Hilda Sirec, the AFP Commander for the Australian Centre to Counter Child Exploitation, said Operation Molto commenced after authorities were informed about a dropbox-style online file sharing platform called Mega NZ.
